You will enhance your critical thinking while engaging with clinical professionals – as the command center - to support other member hospitals within the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health system?   This is the opportunity for you !   Nurse, Capacity Coordination Center - Per DIem 12 hour shifts, D/N Rotation   As part of a multi-disciplinary team, applies the nursing process to develop a plan using telephone triage and review of the medical record for patients who require urgent/emergent DH consultation, outpatient procedure or transfer as well as transfers between levels of care during patients’ inpatient hospitalization.  Capacity Coordination Center Nurses are responsible for providing a high level of customer service in a high stress, fast paced environment while maintaining flexibility and the ability to adapt, improvise and problem solve in rapidly changing conditions.

Reviews, processes, and tracks all referrals for services delivered by providers. Schedules appointments, tests or procedures, responds to patient calls, provides instruction/support to staff for communicating with patients and may act as liaison between physicians & specialists outside of D-H.

***Currently offering a $4,000 sign-on bonus!***   Performs a variety of routine and complex tasks associated with the installation, service, and calibration of a diverse range of therapeutic, diagnostic, and life support biomedical instrumentation. Primary resource for site specific priorities engaging broader Clinical Engineering services to support a healthcare facility. Responsible for facility regulatory compliance and adherence with department best practices.

Assists physicians and nurses in the outpatient procedural setting with endoscopic procedures.

Schedules procedures, surgeries and other coordinated and related appointments and testing functions using information received from a variety of sources. Working within the surgical sections to support their surgical and procedural needs and to provide ultimate customer service to the surgical sections, providers and most importantly the patients. This position will manage the scheduling of patients at our external OR locations throughout the DH system for a variety of surgical specialties. This position will be expected to develop relationships with DH Health system member staff and learn a variety of scheduling workflows and expectations. 

Performs a variety of functions to ensure compliance with New Hampshire Rules for Control of Radiation (NHRCR). Assumes responsibility for the development and enforcement of radiation safety policy and procedures.

Performs a variety of independent administrative support in addition to a wide range of customer service-related duties. Schedules patients, manages multiple calendars, schedules surgical/infusion procedures. Designs, analyzes and coordinates master and other schedules. May direct special projects and/or the work of other employees, work study students, floats, temporary help, volunteers, etc.
