The Mammography Department at our Lebanon, NH campus offers a dynamic, specialized environment for both screening and diagnostic imaging. As part of the Comprehensive Breast Care Program (CBCP) at DHMC, our Breast Imaging team plays a vital role in delivering coordinated, patient-centered care.

 

Mammography Technologists in this division perform a wide range of advanced procedures, including breast imaging, ultrasound, and stereotactic-guided biopsies. They also contribute to the team's growth and development by supporting the technical training and orientation of cross-trained Radiologic Technologists and by sharing expertise in complex and specialized procedures.

 

We are excited to be seeking Mammography Technologists to join our team. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to perform both DXA and Breast Imaging exams while working alongside a highly skilled, collaborative group dedicated to excellence in patient care.

 

We welcome applications from new graduates and will train the right candidate for this modality.  Training is on-the-job, with the expectation that you will sit your Mammography Registry exam within 1 year of hire.

 

For our full-time positions (30+ hours), we are offering a $20,000 sign-on/retention bonus.  The bonus is available only to external hires, and certain conditions apply.

 

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position working Monday through Friday with a rotating Tuesday split shift and Saturday.  We offer a 15% shift differential for working the weekend.

Responsibilities

  1. Performs routine and complex breast imaging and examination procedures following departmental guidelines.
  2. Performs required quality assurance procedures at the designated intervals.
  3. Instructs and reviews the technical performance of diagnostic technologists. Instructs patients in breast self-examinations.
  4. Consistently ensure good patient care, comfort, safety, and confidentiality.
  5. Utilizes e-DH, RIS, and PACS to perform job functions.
  6. Maintain a second Mammography registry as required by federally mandated MQSA standards.
  7. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of clinical Mammography experience required.
  • Minimum of an associate's degree from an accredited program, based on ARRT guidelines.

Required Licensure/Certifications

  • Must have graduated from an ARRT-verified educational program.
  • Certification in Mammography with the AART within two (2) years of hire date.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support required at hire.
  • Maintains a second Mammography registry by annually accruing five ECE's specific to Mammography Education, as required by federally mandated MQSA standards.
  • Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire
