Overview

This role is Partial Remote and you are expected to be 3 days on site in Lebanon NH and 2 days remote. There may be infrequent travel to Bedfod or Cheshire NH.

Career Development Coordinators work closely with fellow Workforce Development Department team members to support the planning and delivery of a portfolio of training, student, career exploration and employment programs to help grow and meet the workforce needs of Dartmouth Health (DH). Coordinators utilize written and verbal communication skills to engage with multiple stakeholders, demonstrate strong attention to detail, track and perform tasks for programs at different delivery stages and are administrative experts. Coordinators are responsible for program logistics including candidate tracking, hiring and onboarding program participants, marketing support, event planning and execution, data tracking and recordkeeping in alignment with requirements stipulated by program governing bodies. The Workforce Development department’s team mission is to develop a sustainable qualified and engaged workforce who can bring the skills, commitment and values that Dartmouth Health needs to provide the best patient care. The ability to research, share findings, make recommendations and quickly incorporate feedback and input is considered an essential quality of each team member.

Responsibilities

  1. Partners with career development specialists and consultants to support system-wide Center for Career Development (CCD) programming.
  2. Coordinates logistics, executes tasks outlined on project plans, communication plans and standard operating procedures for a portfolio of programs.
  3. Assists in scheduling interviews with program candidates, WFD teammates and internal department partners/hiring managers. Maintains interview information in the DH applicant tracking system (ATS). Completes offer letters, new hire packets, orientation schedules and other employment correspondence to job candidates in partnership with career development program leaders.
  4. Collaborates with WFD team members, system HR colleagues and hiring managers, to facilitate the completion of onboarding and pre-employment screenings to include; background checks, reference checks, credentialing and licensure checks and ensures completion as of paperwork well as Occupational Medical clearance prior to start date.
  5. Participates in team committees, special projects, and new program design/development and/or new initiatives. Assists in the planning and execution of Workforce Development events, tracks participants and provides data on outcomes.
  6. Communicates program and project status details to team members, program participants, internal and external partners. Manages calendar for ongoing workforce development programs and courses including scheduling, equipment purchase, and set-up.
  7. Responsible for monitoring and managing department inboxes and phone lines, providing timely, service oriented responses to interested applicants and program partners, and makes appropriate handoffs or escalates as needed.
  8. Coordinates with the WFD team members for accreditation of programs and ensures that program documentation is properly tracked, stored and submitted for student internships; work-study students; Workforce Readiness Institute trainees, other WFD program participants, and Department of Labor registered apprentices.
  9. Provides WFD leadership with departmental reports including recruitment, alumni, retention, event participation, etc.
  10. Responsible for program purchasing, receiving, and tracking purchases against department budget. Manages inventory, supplies and storage.
  11. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree with 2 year of applicable experience in recruiting, healthcare administration, education, event planning or logistics, or equivalent.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Availability to work occasional nights & weekends required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Familiarity with budgets and ROI reporting preferred.
