About Lichter GreenHealth Lab
GreenHealth Lab is a multidisciplinary research lab advancing environmental sustainability in healthcare and strengthening healthcare’s resilience to climate-related events, with a specific focus on oncology. The lab is remote-first, with members based at Dartmouth and across the U.S., and led by Dr. Katie Lichter an Associate Professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology and Applied Sciences within the Dartmouth Cancer Center and the Dartmouth Institute.

 

Position Overview
We are recruiting a motivated Lab Manager to join our team at GreenHealth Lab. This paid, part-time, fully remote position will run through the 2025–2026 academic year. The estimated time commitment is approximately 10-20 hours per week.

This position is ideal for a post-graduate student and/or medical student taking a research year or in the final stages of medical training who is seeking experience in the climate-health and healthcare sustainability/decarbonization space. The Lab Manager will report directly to the PI, collaborate closely with two postdoctoral researchers, and communicate regularly with the broader lab and external partners.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain internal databases of lab projects and team roles
  • Coordinate lab communications (e.g., monthly meetings, annual newsletter)
  • Support administrative tasks (e.g., grant submissions, poster printing, publicity)
  • Update the lab website with new content and publications
  • Organize lab engagement activities (e.g., feedback forms, swag, team gifts)
  • If desired, contribute to research outputs (e.g., abstracts, manuscripts)

Qualifications
Required:

  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Familiarity with climate-health and healthcare sustainability topics

Preferred:

    • Current medical student or recent graduate
    • Experience in project coordination or academic administration
    • Familiarity with collaboration tools (Zoom, Slack, Google Drive)
    • Experience with Canva or website platforms
    • Interest in oncology, radiation oncology, or radiology
    • Prior research or academic writing experience

Qualifications




  • - High School or equivalent required


  • - Associates degree preferred


  • - Previous research experience preferred


Required Licensure/Certifications




  • BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
