Provides high-level administrative support and coordination generally to:
The Office of Advanced Practice Providers (APP)
specifically to:
Director of Professional Development and Education
Director of APP Clinical Education and Research
Responsibilities
Supports the Office of APP’s Director of Professional Development and Education and Director of APP Clinical Education and Research jointly:
in the planning and delivery of educational and professional development CME events,
in the organization, synthesis and presentation of their work, such as year-end reports
by managing electronic databases and providing technical support in utilizing electronic programs and systems,
in developing marketing and communication materials for events and programs, and
in managing, tracking and updating website accounts.
Provides support to the Director of Professional Development and Education in:
organizing and producing APP professional development and educational programs and events
being responsible for scheduling and supporting the evaluation process for APP professional development and education programs
supporting the mission of a successful transition to practice/onboarding experience for every new APP by assisting in the organization and delivery of the APP session in General Orientation and in developing and disseminating an Office of APP system-wide transition to practice/onboarding manual as well as a template for a section-specific manual
being responsible for scheduling and supporting the evaluation process for the APP transition to practice/onboarding experience.
Provides support to the Director of APP Clinical Education and Research by:
facilitating APP precepting and student rotations, communicating with schools, students and preceptors and interfacing with Dartmouth Health offices including Work Force Development, eDH and Occupational Medicine to onboard students for rotations,
entering and managing data regarding APP student clinical rotations
designing methods of recruiting APPs to precept students
supporting APP research and scholarly activities by assisting in the creation of classes and in the efforts to recognize the achievements of APPs.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred
2+ years of operational experience required, preferably within a healthcare/academic environment
Excellent and assertive planning and organizational skills
Demonstrates capabilities in developing a collaborative approach to program development, establishing policies and procedures, and ability to support project evaluation
Independent thinker who is able to make decisions based on available information and data
Proficiency in computer software, such as MS Office Suite including Word, MS Access, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel, SharePoint and SmartSheets etc. required
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Enthusiasm for the entrepreneurial aspects of building a new program within a clinical organization is critical
Highly organized with demonstrated ability to meets deadlines in a high-pressure environmen
Ability to demonstrate professionalism and maintain high degree of confidentiality required
Required Licensure/Certifications
Yellow Belt Certification (or attained within one year of hire)
