The Leyenaar Lab, Department of Pediatrics, is seeking to hire one (1) research assistant (a.k.a. Clinical Research Coordinator I). The successful candidate will support a NIH-funded project aiming to design and implement a safety planning and lethal means counselling intervention for adolescents with suicidality seeking care in rural emergency departments. The role will involve but is not limited to recruiting, enrolling, and interviewing patients and families, organizing meetings of the research team and advisory board, and participating in the development of manuscripts and conference presentations.
The ideal candidate will be able to work on-site at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center; a hybrid arrangement may be considered for a local candidate. Prospective candidates must have an interest in conducting day-to-day research activities (e.g. recruitment and interviewing) and interacting with patients, caregivers and community stakeholders. Prior experience working with pediatric patients and families and/or qualitative interviewing is an asset.
Including a cover letter in the application package is strongly encouraged.
