Hampstead Hospital and Residential Treatment Facility is an accredited specialty hospital that provides inpatient and residential psychiatric care that serves the acute psychiatric and substance use-related disorder needs of children, adolescents, and young adults.
Our Pierce Unit is the child unit that provides a therapeutic environment for those 13 years of age and under with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges. We provide individual and therapeutic group activities to our patients on unit. Patient length of stay can vary based on their needs.
The Clinical Nurse is an engaged and credentialed member of the Professional Nursing Organization and is responsible for autonomous practice directed by the professional tenets of practitioner, leader/decision maker, scientist and transferor. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide evidence-based care and to continuously monitor and evaluate practice to ensure safe passage of patients that is in the best interest of populations served.
