The Mammography department at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) in Lebanon, NH has two clinical areas, screening and diagnostics. The Breast Imaging division is a component of the Comprehensive Breast Care Program (CBCP) at DHMC. For this position, we are seeking a full-time Mammography Technologist who will rotate through mammography in order to maintain MQSA mandated requirements.

We are seeking a full-time Primary Mammography Technologist to join the team to perform Dxa exams as well as breast imaging exams. Multiple openings available.
 
This is a full-time, 40-hour per week benefitted day-shift position.  We are offering a $7500 sign-on/retention bonus for this position. *The bonus is for external hires only, and certain conditions apply.

Retirement: Employee contributions are vested immediately. Biweekly matching contribution of 50% on up to 4% of pay saved—for a maximum match of 2% of pay.

Paid Time Off: Paid time off is accrued per pay period based on hours worked. This includes six paid holidays.

Shift Differential:10% evening, 20% night, and 15% weekend shift differentials when applicable.

Responsibilities

  1. Performs routine and complex breast imaging and examination procedures following departmental guidelines.
  2. Performs required quality assurance procedures at the designated intervals.
  3. Instructs and reviews technical performance of diagnostic technologists. Instructs patients in breast self-examinations.
  4. Consistently ensure good patient care, comfort, safety, and confidentiality.
  5. Utilizes e-DH, RIS, and PACS to perform job functions.
  6. Maintain a second Mammography registry as required by federally-mandated MQSA standards.
  7. Maintains ISCD certification for DXA.
  8. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of clinical Mammography experience required.
  • Minimum of an Associates degree from an accredited program; based on ARRT guidelines.

Required Licensure/Certifications

  • Radiographer NH OR Radiation Therapist NH OR Medical Imaging/Rad Ther - NH
  • BLS within 30 days
  • Radiologic Technologist - Radiography (RT - R) and Radiologic Technologist - Mammography (RT - M) within 730 days
  • Radiologic Technologist - Bone Densitometry (RT-BD) and Radiologic Technologist - Breast Sonography (RT- BS) preferred Certified Bone Densitometry Technologist (CBDT) or Certified Clinical Densitometry (CCD) from the International Society for Clinical Densitometry (ISCD) preferred
