The General Cardiology scheduling team at Dartmouth-Hitchcock is seeing a highly organized, detail-orientated, dependable, and motivated person for our Sr. Clinical Secretary - PCDS opening. Responsibilities

  1. Schedules patients for laboratory testing, ancillaries, and physician appointments.
  2. Answers and triages incoming department phone calls.
  3. Notifies patients of appointments, labs, testing, procedures and preparation.
  4. Notifies physicians, technicians, and nurses of special needs and situations of patients.
  5. Obtains films, reports, and patient histories for procedures, testing, and physician appointments.
  6. Processes, uploads, and files reports.
  7. Maintains an adequate stock of supplies, brochures, and forms.
  8. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications




  • Associates degree with 1 year of experience working in a fast-paced hospital setting, or the equivalent in education and experience required.


  • Familiarity with word processing techniques and medical terminology required.


  • Must be detail oriented and possess the ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.


  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
