Our Academic Medical Center is expanding to meet the needs of our rural New England region's pediatric patients with inpatient psychiatric care needs. The Inpatient Pediatric Psychiatric Care Unit is slated to open a new six-bed unit by April 2025. We are recruiting both Pediatric RNs and Psychiatric RNs with passion to support adolescent patients from 12 to 17 years of age.
The successful candidate will be flexible and have a team-orientated approach to care. The shifts will rotate from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
The Pediatric Clinical Nurse working in adolecent psychiarty is an engaged and credentialed member of the Professional Nursing Organization and is responsible for autonomous practice directed by the professional tenets of practitioner, leader/decision maker, scientist and transferor. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide evidence-based care and to continuously monitor and evaluate practice to ensure safe passage of patients that is in the best interest of populations served.
Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
