Performs diagnostic radiological exams and procedures independently and may supervise new hires and student technologists from area colleges.
Responsibilities
Administers all steps of the X-Ray with the patient: Pre-exam processing, performing the exam, and post-exam documentation.
Maintains cleanliness of all rooms, machines and cassettes in the department.
Maintains supply inventory.
Performs exams in diagnostic x-ray, fluoroscopy, ambuatory surgery center and dexa.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved allied health program specific to the modality employed.
Must be able to perform duties independently with minimal supervision.
Must be proficient in the use of Radiology Information Systems (RIS), Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), Transport, and/or other computer systems unique to the specific imaging section.
Required Licensure/Certifications
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Radiologic Technologist - Radiography (RT - R). Professional registry for modality employed is required.
BLS required within 30 days.
Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire.
