Registered Nurse Medical Oncology

Works 32 - 40 hours per week: four shifts Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Provides exemplary patient care and works closely with physicians and members of the interdisciplinary team.
  • Assesses patients and modifies care as needed.
  • Possesses strong communication skills to promote coordinated care throughout treatment.
  • Provides ongoing care coordination between clinic visits by communicating with families, healthcare team members, and other involved agencies.
  • Educates patients and families regarding disease management, medications, and specialized home equipment.
  • Triages and manages patient messaging and communication via phone and patient portal.
  • Assists with completion of prescriptions, medication and DME insurance authorizations, and other community networking resources and referrals.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.                                          

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred. 

  • Two years of nursing experience, oncology preferred.

Required Licensure/Certifications

  • Licensed RN with NH eligibility
  • BLS
