Overview

Radiation Oncology Clinic - (4) 8s, 36 hour per week position

 

You will be joining a cohesive team that consists of 9 MDs, 3 APRNs, 8 RNs and 3 LNAs. Together we collaborate to provide compassionate care to our radiation oncology patient population.

    

As the Clinical Nurse Supervisor on this Radiation Oncology team, you will manage patient assignments and flow within this outpatient clinic.  As a leader, you will provide oversight of direct patient care. You will serve as a lead, clinical resource, role model and extension of management.

Manages patient assignments and flow within clinic. Provides oversight of patient care to support patient and staff needs. Serves as a lead, clinical resource, role model, and extension of management to uphold institutional priorities, policies and practices.

Responsibilities

  1. Maintain RN/LNA monthly work schedules; and update the RN/LNA daily work schedule to accommodate for patient acuity, staff experience and competency.
  2. Participate in performance management of staff members to include mentoring, preparation of performance management process.
  3. Serves as the liaison to other person/departments/clinics concerning services offered by this clinic.
  4. Addresses conflicts as they may arise. Assist/mediate to maintain smooth operation of the clinic.
  5. Facilitate orientation and training for employees.
  6. Oversee attendance, and responsible for approval of timecards.
  7. Complete and submit weekly targeted tracers for the clinic.
  8. Participates in the daily morning huddle with the Radiation Oncology team.
  9. Participate in weekly, bi-weekly or monthly team meeting as scheduled.
  10. Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
  • BSN preferred.
  • 2 years of related supervisory/management experience.
  • Must obtain and maintain clinical competencies as appropriate.
  • Excellent written, verbal and computer skills required.
  • Demonstrated abilities with problem solving, leadership, communication, fiscal responsibility and teamwork.
  • Ability to work effectively in groups of employees and with patients and patient families is essential.

Required Licensure/Certifications

  • Licensed Registered Nurse with New Hampshire eligibility.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or higher per unit specific requirements.
