Overview

Flexibility of 32 - 40 hours per week *Ideal candidate will determine before hire if they'd prefer to work 32-40 hours
Potential to work remotely 1-2 days, depending on hours per week
Primary location is Lebanon, NH and includes some travel to Manchester for clinic oversight

Provides leadership and oversight for all functions necessary to support the daily operations of the Pediatric Child Advocacy & Protection Program and all satellite locations. Encourages standardization and development of programmatic processes and procedures, and is accountable for oversight of philanthropic development and interagency collaborations. Fosters and supports growth within the department to fulfill organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  1. Assumes leadership responsibility for the operational, administrative, and informational management systems of the program.
  2. Manages the development, implementation and maintenance of structures and processes, which support clinical and non-clinical improvement efforts, including process improvement, data collection and reporting systems for the program.
  3. Oversees all legal services provided by CAPP Staff in court proceedings including subpoena management, liaising with attorneys, and billing of services.
  4. Oversees all inter-agency and cross-departmental service referral processes and ensures efficiency in all workflows and response times.
  5. Establish multi-year strategic planning process and monitor and measure program success with outlined objectives.
  6. Manages schedule and coverage of 24/7 state-wide call system which provides consultation and support to healthcare providers and community partners in the response and treatment of child physical, sexual, and neglect cases.
  7. Ensures all procedures and program services are aligned with a trauma-informed service model and follow standard best practices for care of children impacted by abuse and neglect.
  8. Facilitates efforts to address secondary traumatic stress for CAPP Program Staff.
  9. Manages program grant and contracts including: monitoring compliance with reporting requirements, performance on grant objectives, allocation of funds, preparing required status reports, and accurate accounting of fund balances.
  10. Works in conjunction with Medical Director and Dartmouth Development Office to sustain and grow philanthropic support for the program.
  11. Participates in the design, development and monitoring of productivity and informational administrative systems needed to facilitate efficient operations.
  12. Oversees all educational activities including regularly scheduled series and a multi-year effort to train all DCYF workers and healthcare professionals in the state around best practice responses to child maltreatment.
  13. Facilitates financial management for the program by identifying opportunities for maximizing revenues and minimizing operating costs/expenses by periodically reviewing patient billing, coding practices and compliance, legal services fee structures, and the implementation of revenue maximization and cost control measures where appropriate.
  14. Interviews and hires new staff. Trains and develops onboarding for new staff, evaluates the performance of secretarial staff, encourages and supports staff education, and fosters personal and professional development of all personnel. Maintains and promotes a harmonious work environment within the program and handles performance problems.
  15. Contributes toward positive relationships with interagency relationships and procedures including child protective services, prosecution, law enforcement, child advocacy centers, and other community partners as it relates to the clinical and court services provided by CAPP providers.
  16. Receives and responds to organizational requests related to financial, human resources, safety, compliance, credentialing, monthly/annual attestations, billing/coding/documentation, annual eLearning, valid licensure, certifications, and other operational compliance issues.
  17. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in education and experience required.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory/management experience preferred.
  • Preferred experience developing programs providing services for trauma survivors
  • Preferred experience in grant/contract management or administration
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication and financial skills.
  • Demonstrated positive leadership qualities.
  • Ability to relate and work effectively with physicians, administrators, support staff, and the general public with a high degree of tact and discretion.
  • Preferred prior experience with budget preparation and systems development.
