The Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking an Advanced Practitioner (APRN or PA) to provide diagnostic evaluation and management of acute medical complaints for children and adults, presenting to the DHMC Emergency Department, or at one of the community hospitals within Dartmouth Health. Primary responsibilities for all assigned patients include ordering diagnostic testing, obtaining consultations, performing procedures within the advanced practitioner’s scope of practice, prescribing medications, directing the administration of medications by nursing staff, and ensuring an appropriate disposition plan.

Dartmouth Health is an academic health system serving patients across northern New England, providing the only Level I trauma center in New Hampshire as well as the Dartmouth Cancer Center and Dartmouth Health Children’s. As the home to the Dartmouth Institute and Geisel School of Medicine, opportunities for academic appointment and advancement are rich for motivated providers.

• National specialty certification as FNP, PNP, Acute or Primary Care A-GNP, WHNP or certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
