Overview

Facilitate the integration of Dartmouth College Integrative Neuroscience at Dartmouth (IND) PhD students into Dartmouth-Hitchcock Neuroscience research operations, educational programming, and technological and facilities access.  Manage IND faculty and student daily administrative functions to ensure optimal educational and research outcomes.  Encourage standardization of processes and procedures, and is accountable for communication between all applicable stake holders including Dartmouth College, Geisel School of Medicine, Guarini Graduate School of Graduate & Advance Studies, and Dartmouth-Hitchcock.

Responsibilities

  1. Serve as liaison for the Integrative Neuroscience at Dartmouth (IND) PhD program between Dartmouth College/Geisel/Guarini and Dartmouth-Hitchcock.
  1. Serve as the primary point of contact representing the IND program at D-H, working closely with representatives from all Dartmouth College stake holders to ensure effective communication
  2. Serve as a source of information on D-H regulations and procedures related to education, research, and access to D-H systems and facilities.
  3. Work with faculty to assign work space for students and to provide access to those work spaces.
  4. Coordinate and schedule activities that support the IND program functions and increases efficiency.
  5. Draft/update salary billing agreements (SBA) for IND students
  6. Find and reserve rooms for IND classes/meetings at D-H
  7. Manage D-H ID badges and parking permits for students
  8. Coordinate IND graduate thesis seminars at D-H, including travel and seminars for outside examiners, reimbursements,and honorariums through D-H managed funds
  1. Provide administrative support to IND faculty, staff, and students
  2. Oversee recruitment activities and record keeping for new IND/D-H students
  3. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivelant 
  • In-depth knowledge of office procedures, including budgeting
  • Ability to work independently, assess priorities, and organize workload
  • Proficient with computer applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality required
