Dartmouth-Hitchcock's Department of Psychiatry seeks to hire a psychologist to lead the behavioral health team in our HIV Program within the section of Infectious Disease. The HIV Program at Dartmouth Health is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive, and trauma-informed care to individuals living with HIV/AIDS. We offer a flexible hybrid work schedule of 32-40 hours per week with care delivered in person and by telehealth, with the option of working remotely on certain days.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with marginalized populations, a strong understanding of minority stress, and a passion for addressing the unique challenges and stressors faced by individuals living with HIV.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing psychological and behavioral interventions to address physical, mental health, and psychosocial concerns


  • Participating in multidisciplinary clinics and team meetings


  • Providing support for other psychiatry members of the team (i.e., running HIV MH meetings, coordinating mental health coverage for HIV clinics, etc.).


  • Collaborating with the nurse manager to support the nursing team with managing patient interactions and developing psychosocial education (e.g., trauma-informed care, sexual history taking).


  • Developing and maintaining area-specific programming for patients and the HIV team.


  • Participating in AIDS Service Organization meetings.


  • Participating in training Department of Psychiatry Residents as well as Psychology Interns and/or Post-Doctoral Fellows.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA- or CPA-accredited program.
  • Completion of a predoctoral internship from an APA- or CPA-accredited internship program.
  • At least one year of postdoctoral training in psychology

Required Licensure/Certifications

  • Licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in the state of New Hampshire.
