Medical Specialty Care Unit
The Registered Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide evidence-based care and to continuously monitor and evaluate practice to ensure safe passage of patients that is in the best interest of populations served.
The Medical Specialty Care Unit (MSCU) is a brand new, state of the art 16-bed progressive care unit in our new patient pavilion. The MSCU will care primarily for medically complex patients on the hospital medicine service. As a building block in terms of patient acuity, as well as professional development, to our 61-bed medicine unit, we are poised to provide a dynamic learning and team based environment for both new and experienced care providers. Inpatient medicine cares for patients of all ages and diagnoses with complex patient needs and high acuity as our specialty. Whether you want to support patients with chronic illness, acute illness, surgical consultation, or infectious disease, you will be helping them all in the MSCU. The team is built with an established leadership team ready to support the growth and expansion of this service line, giving those that join our team the ability to shape the unit culture. Graduate from an accredited Nursing Program required.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
