This position is located in the Client Response Center section of our Laboratory

 

This position supports patient care in a call center by acting as a liaison between laboratory sections and the caregivers providing direct patient care, including reference client sites, and works with units within the department of pathology to resolve emergent and complex issues.  They deliver excellent customer service to internal and external caregivers, while maintaining a professional image through phone, email, and other forms of communication.

 

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week day-shift position.

Responsibilities

  1. Supports patient care by effectively navigating complex computer and phone systems, while following all departmental standard operating procedures for both internal and external customers.
  2. Builds and maintains client relationships by providing exceptional service with a positive, professional, and empathetic demeanor in all forms of communication.
  3. Researches and reports patient test results to authorized caregivers.
  4. Researches and responds to requests for test information, specimen requirements, and supplies associated with internal and referred laboratory testing.
  5. Maintain an inventory and distribute testing supplies to caregivers and clients as needed using established courier routes.
  6. Distributes patient and operational reports to clients.
  7. Exhibits a commitment to accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness.
  8. Communicates special instructions to clients when directed by CRC supervisor or medical directors.
  9. Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate required.
  • Coursework toward a college degree preferred.
  • Previous laboratory experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment required.
